The Adventures of Book
This cartoon was created in response to James V. Brown Library's quarantine of books during 2020. I created a cartoon strip to highlight where the books went for 3 days during quarantine. From there the genre neutral character named "Book" was born. Since the creation of Book, they are not only seen in comic strips, but also on t-shirts, posters, keychains, and the wonderful Book's Bus.

Larger Illustration Projects at James V. Brown Library
We like to have fun at the Library... especially during Summer Learning
(All of these projects were created with reclaimed wood & cardboard and donated paint supplies, keeping the cost to the Library very low)
Coney Island of the Mind
This Graduate Level project was created after a prompt of, "what does 'Coney Island of the Mind' mean to you?" After reading the book of poetry by Lawrence Ferlinghetti, I created this project highlighting the atrocities of the Trump family, the tearing down of Steeplechase, and the Red Lining that happened when they tore down apartments and refused applications from people of color when the new Trump Towers was raised.

Graduate Level project illustrating what "Coney Island of the Mind," a book by Lawrence Ferlinghetti, means to us personally. I portrayed the travesty the Trump family brought down upon Coney Island and the segregation of housing, caused by Fred Trump

The Adventures of Scatter Brain & Coffee
My very first comic strip was created in my Graduate level sequential art class with comic book artist James Romberger. This comic strip describes my relationship with coffee when "multitasking" around the house.

Jameson in Unlikely Places
This Graduate level "speed" project was created for an illustration class with caricature artist John Kascht. We were asked to take an odd object of choice and incorporate that item into unlikely situations. I chose a Jameson bottle.
